Description

Each two meter length of fence incorporates:
Two posts at 2m centre to centre.
The posts are buried at least 500mm below ground in concrete foundations of 450 x 450 x 600mm deep
Nine pales spaced 200mm apart between posts.
Each vertical pale is bolted by two 8mm galvanised bolts and nuts (top and bottom).
The pales stand approximately 30mm above ground level.
Two horizontal rails (cross bars); one 160mm below the top and one 190mm above ground level.

Concrete palisade fencing is available in various heights.

The modular design of precast concrete palisade makes for an extremely flexible fencing solution.
It also contributes to the speed of installation; in short – it’s ideal for any imaginable situation!

All off-the-shelf concrete palisade fencing achieve a strength of between 20 and 24 MPa at 28 days.

Concrete Palisade Heights

1.8m (6 foot) high - It is also available with extended posts (500mm) between which flat wrap razor wire is secured.

2.4m (8 foot) high - It is also available with extended posts (500mm) between which flat wrap razor wire is secured.

3.0m (10 foot) high - We are one of only a few walling companies manufacturing this height. It is not available with extended post.

1.2m (4 foot) high - This is a low fence used as a demarcation barrier.

Installation of Concrete Palisade

Our teams of fence erectors take pride with their installations and will be done to your satisfaction.

Each post is embedded to a full depth in concrete in a foundation hole of at least 460x460x500 mm.

Foundations are 15 - 20 MPa. Stronger mixtures are available.

The structure is grouted with a sand / cement mix.

The Strength of Concrete Palisade

Only the best raw materials are used.

Our "off the shelve" concrete strength is between 20 and 24 MPa.

We supply (and guarantee) stronger strengths of25, 30 and 35 MPa.

All reinforcing steel wires are free of rust, loose scale, flux, grease or oil substances.

Concrete Palisade Main Posts and Horizontal Rails

Main Anchor Posts
Overall lengths of 2400, 3000, and 3600mm are available. Distance between posts are 2.0 meter centre to centre.
The top of the posts are angled at 45 degrees.

1.8m fence – Post 2400 x 220 x 150 tapered to 80mm.
Reinforced with 4 x 6mm spring steel wires.
Weight 114 kg. Extended posts weighs 123 kg

2.4m fence – Post 3000 x 220 x 150 tapered to 80mm.
Reinforced with 4 x 6mm spring steel wires.
Weight 144 kg. Extended posts weighs 181 kg

3.0m fence – Post 3600 x 220 x 150 tapered to 80mm.
Reinforced with 4 x 6mm spring steel wires. Weight 203 kg.

The posts are not pre-stressed.
Standard posts achieve a strength of between 20 and 24 MPa at 28 days.
Guaranteed strengths of 25, 30 and 35 MPa are available optionally extra.

Posts are spaced 2.0m centre to centre.
The posts are slotted to take the horizontal load bearing rails.
Posts are embedded at least 500mm into a concrete foundation of 15-20 mpa (standard strength) at 28 days.
Stronger foundations of 25, 30 or 35 are available optionally extra.

Horizontal Rails (Cross Bars)

1980 x 75 x 150mm with 9 x 10mm diameter holes.
Reinforced with 4 x 6mm spring steel wires.
Weight 49kg.

Standard cross bars achieve a strength of between 20 and 24 mpa at 28 days.
Guaranteed strengths of 25, 30 and 35mpa are available optionally extra.

Overall lengths of 1800, 2400, and 3000mm.
(See demercation fencing for the low palisade option).
Distance between pales are 200mm c/c.
Gap between pales are 100mm.
Nine pales installed per setction of 2 meter.

1.8m high fence - 1800 x 80 x 110 tapered to 80 mm.
Reinforced with 4 x 6mm spring steel wires.
Weight 27 kg.

2.4m high fence - 2400 x 80 x 110 tapered to 80 mm.
Reinforced with 4 x 6mm spring steel wires.
Weight 35 kg.

3.0m high fence - 3600 x 80 x 110 tapered to 80 mm.
Reinforced with 4 x 6mm spring steel wires.
Weight 42 kg.

Standard pales achieve a strength of between 20 and 24 MPa at 28 days.
Guaranteed strengths of 25, 30 and 35 MPa are available optionally extra.
Pales are not pre-stressed.

The top of the pales are angled at 45 degrees.

Concrete palisade pales are moulded and machine vibrated giving it a smooth finish.
The open side is smoothed with a wooden float.

Concrete Palisade Pales are available in a Columbo (Face brick) finish.
Fixing Bolts

18 of 160mm long 8mm diameter high tensile steel carriage bolts are used per 2 meter section.

Galvanised and Electro-galvanised fixing bolts are available optionally extra.

All bolts used for the erection have their ends burred over.

The holes are filled with a plaster mix
(hard epoxy is available as an optional extra).
